Description
The Cooking Fire becomes a Basic Campfire. Placing one in the outdoor world creates a campsite where players rest, get buffs, and add crafted profession objects.
Details
Blizzard text: 'reimagining the simple Cooking Fire as a Basic Campfire, creating campsites where players can rest, sit for a moment, gain useful benefits, and contribute crafted objects' Players sit briefly at the campfire to get one-hour buffs A Basic Campfire holds up to 3 crafted objects. Each nearby player can add only one, and added objects share a one-hour cooldown Every profession has 3 campsite objects at different skill levels. Examples: Blacksmithing Sharpening Wheel (Attack Power), Tailoring Faction Banner (Spirit), Herbalism Incense Candle (Intellect) Advanced objects come from Blueprint recipes that drop from dungeon bosses Cooks unlock upgraded Campfires that hold 5 or 10 objects Campsites also offer vendors, repairs and profession workspaces (official Deep Dive recap) Icy Veins: first objects unlock at profession skill 20. Blacksmithing tiers are Sharpening Wheel (20), Anvil (140) and Master Forge (300). Campsite stat buffs do not stack with the matching class buffs Icy Veins lists the time needed to become rested, placement limits, PvP behavior, overlapping camps and how long a campsite lasts as unconfirmed Icy Veins: Legacy perks tied to camping include Field Guide (shorter cooldown for adding objects), Permanence (longer benefit duration) and Reagent Economy Food rework (Icy Veins, from a BlizzCon example): crafted food gives stats plus XP bonuses, e.g. '5% increased experience from kills'
