Fact
Blizzard (Oct 7): PvP progression is split in two. Honor is a currency earned from defeating players, battlegrounds and PvP quests (more in holiday weeks), with rates rebalanced so Alterac Valley is not the only efficient source; it buys one blue-quality and one epic-quality PvP set, and upgrading a piece to epic needs the blue piece plus an Emboldened Seal with a rank requirement. Rank Points, earned from battlegrounds and PvP quests and capped weekly, advance the 14 original ranks up to High Warlord or Grand Marshal, with a reward at each rank (tabard at 1, PvP trinket at 2, mounts at 11, epic weapons at 14). Each season has weekly tasks that give Honor and Rank Points; three tasks per season also give a Legacy Point and stay available in later seasons.
