Design pillars and summoning stones (TechRadar interview, Oct 8-9): The Forever team to TechRadar (published Oct 8 and Oct 9; speakers not named): every chang

Fact

The Forever team to TechRadar (published Oct 8 and Oct 9; speakers not named): every change is judged against four design pillars - Nurture and Protect Social Experiences, Approachable and Familiar, World as the Main Character, and Journey before destination - and ideas that fail them are dropped. Summoning Stones (Meeting Stones that teleport party members) will not be added because they fail the social and world pillars: 'Easy, quick access to teleports shrink the world', and they would weaken part of the Warlock's identity. The team says it is 'important to hold the line when it comes to our pillars'. On visuals, the goal is 'not to create assets that look like they were made in 2004' and not to match retail fidelity either: 'WoW as you remember it, not as it was'.
