Fact
Blizzard's Mage and Shaman class deep dive. Totems: global cooldown 1.0 sec (from 1.5); persistent buff totems last 5 minutes (from 2); a totem tracking UI lets you right-click a totem away; Resistance Totems cover the whole raid; Tranquil Air Totem and Fire Nova Totem are removed (Fire Nova is a spell cast from your current Fire Totem); Windfury Totem and Flametongue Totem are party buffs that cannot be up together, and Windfury Totem cannot be combined with Grace of Air. Weapon imbues last 60 minutes (from 5) and stay active alongside sharpening stones, weightstones and wizard oil. Spells by level: Totemic Recall at 20 (destroys all totems, refunds 25% of their Mana), Call of the Elements at 20 (3-sec cast, one preset totem per element), Totemic Projection at 22 (moves all totems within 30 yards, 1-min cooldown, 25% of base Mana), Call of the Spirits at 30 (second preset set), Call of the Ancestors at 40 (third set); Dual Specialization at 40. Lightning Bolt ranks 4+ cast in 2.5 sec and Chain Lightning in 2 sec, with coefficients lowered to match. Removed talents: Elemental Mastery (too strong in PvP for the PvE damage Blizzard wanted), Shield Specialization, Nature's Guidance. Milestone talents: Elemental 16 Call of Thunder, 21 Earthbound, 31 Lava Burst; Enhancement 11 Shamanistic Focus, 16 Stormstrike, 31 Rage of the Farseer; Restoration 11 Water Shield, 16 Mana Tide Totem, 31 Riptide. Mindfulness sits in Restoration row 2 so Elemental can reach it. The post does not mention Earth Shield. Abilities may still change during the beta.
