Fact

Changes: • Capstone: Rage of the Farseer, a 3-min cooldown that increases attack speed (Icy Veins). • Mental Dexterity (new): Attack Power increased by up to 100% of Intellect. • Maelstrom Weapon (new): melee attacks grant a stacking buff that progressively cuts Lightning Bolt's mana cost and cast time -- lets Enhancement weave in a hard-hitting instant-ish nuke. • Stormstrike reworked with up to 100% chance to restore mana in combat and up to 100% chance to reset its own cooldown; Improved Stormstrike adds a 2-rank upgrade on top. • Ancestral Knowledge now gives +2% Intellect per point instead of +1% (Icy Veins). • Spirit Weapons: enables Parrying attacks, but reduces threat generation by 30% -- a DPS/off-spec utility talent, not a tanking one. • Warcraft Tavern's classes overview specifically credits the Rockbiter Weapon rework (an ability change, not a talent) with making Enhancement 'fully fledged tanks' for the first time -- this is the standalone strongest class-changes claim about Shaman found in any outlet. Strengths: • Maelstrom Weapon + Stormstrike gives Enhancement a real rotation instead of Classic's largely passive-proc playstyle • Talent tree sums to exactly 51 points, so a build can spend everything in-tree with no cross-tree dipping required Weaknesses: • Spirit Weapons' threat reduction is explicitly anti-synergistic with the new tank role, so a single talent build can't cleanly serve both DPS and tank -- see the two Enhancement builds below • Blizzard (Greenfield, Sept 22) says Shaman tanking is not a launch role; no taunt and weak mitigation keep the Rockbiter build to easy content at best
